I am happy to announce that I have been chosen as the official Interior Designer and Coordinator for Philadelphia Magazine's Design Home 2013. I’m proud to have earned this distinction for the third time, having also been chosen in 2010 and 2011.

This prestigious honor means I will have the exciting and challenging responsibility of acting as chief interior designer of an entire home, which will be open to the public beginning on October 24, 2013. I will also be responsible for coordinating the entire team that puts my design choices into action.

Over the next three newsletters, I will share my progress with you by highlighting images from the home so that you can see my selections of everything from fabrics to faucets.

This year the home will be a gorgeous residence in the private luxury community of Wrenfield in Villanova. It is being built by the celebrated JPOrleans, and the project will be managed in person by their Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Orleans.

Working alongside Philadelphia Magazine’s Sherry Litwer and her amazing team of sponsors, we have been developing design concepts. Design Home 2013 will be open to the public this fall from October 24th through November 17th. All ticket proceeds will benefit one of the area’s best known homes, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.

We have already selected many home improvement products from the commercial sponsors of Philadelphia Magazine's 2013 Design home. Their specialists have helped us get started with tile from Bob Wagner's, hardwood and carpets from Floors USA, granite from Colonial Marble and Granite, faucets and sinks from D and K Plumbing Fixtures and Appliances, window treatments from Coco Curtains Studio, lighting fixtures from Main Line Lighting and cabinets from Century Kitchens. Some of the other Sponsors we will soon have the opportunity to work with include Closet City, HiFi House, Merritt Gallery.
