Fueled by both intellectual curiosity & intense rivalry, the Cope & Marsh expeditions, called "Bone Wars", yielded prolific & immeasurably valuable discoveries & placed paleontology among respected sciences. The ruthless, yet fruitful, paleontological excavations carried out in 19th century Colorado by university professors Othniel Charles Marsh & Edward Drinker Cope will be re-enacted by Thomas Price, a junior at UCCS where he is majoring in both museum studies and film studies. The Pikes Peak Historical Society invites you to join Thomas Price Sunday, May 17, at their monthly Chautauqua (free program), at 2 p.m. at the Florissant Library, adjacent to the Florissant Community Park on 334 Circle Drive in Florissant. This program is presented as a public service of the Pikes Peak Historical Society. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. For more information, call 719-748-8259 or 719-748-3861.

Greetings One and All -
![James Conner](http://files.ctctcdn.com/cbcc85b9001/e06c95ff-1498-4686-8ce3-3f080e836400.png?a=1120748098833) My name is James Conner and I'm a Development Officer with Pikes Peak United Way. My wife - Valerie, daughter, and I moved out here from Oregon last August. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you as the resident "new guy" to our community. I look forward to getting to meet you all soon.
Pikes Peak United Way recognizes, we've got work to do. For too long we've been just a name, with no tangible involvement throughout Teller County. I'm here to say, that is going to change! You have our word on that.
Let's start to talk about what's important to all of you and how we at Pikes Peak United Way can help fill that void. I look forward to sharing our story with you soon!
Respectfully -
James Conner II - Development Officer
