Mayor Ebert recounts story of Bob McDorman's vision for an Automotive Museum in Downtown Canal Winchester

Canal Winchester Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Awards Dinner and Expo on March 14 at Crossroads Church in Lithopolis. Chamber members joined with community leaders and dignitaries to celebrate a year of business growth in and around Canal Winchester. Attendees enjoyed a business expo prior to the event banquet.
The theme for the evening was "Emerald Isle". Awards of distinction were given in the following categories: 2013 Business of the Year, awarded to Diley Ridge Medical Center, recognizing their entrepreneurial spirit and promotion of the Canal Winchester business community. 2013 Business Person of the Year, awarded to Amanda Lemke, of Canal Winchester Area Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her work ethic, leadership, and contributions to the business community. 2013 Pillar of the Community, awarded to Bob McDorman, of Bob McDorman Automotive Museum, recognizing his history of service to the community, character, civic leadership and commitment to Canal Winchester.
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted delivered the keynote speech.
Canal Winchester Mayor Michael Ebert presented each winner with a proclamation and winners also received commendations from Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, Congressman Steve Stivers, and Fairfield County Commissioner Dave Levacy.

CW Schools Superintendent Jim Sotlar To Speak at
Chamber's April 9 Luncheon
Canal Winchester Area of Commerce will host Canal Winchester Local School District Superintendent James Sotlar as keynote speaker for their April networking luncheon.
The luncheon, sponsored by Supreme Realty, will be held on April 9 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Canal Winchester Community Center (22 S. Trine St). Community members and business professionals are invited to attend.
