Sustainable Long Island's Annual Sustainability Conference brings together Long Island's top executives and decision makers in the business, government, and nonprofit world. This year's conference will focus on the theme of "accomplishing more together."
At his recent 2014 State of the State address, Governor Andrew Cuomo said it best when he emphasized that as New Yorkers "we are one." Specifically on Long Island, this past year leaders from different industries have worked together to build upon the successes of exciting projects focusing on community revitalization, economic development, environmental health, and social justice.
This action packed event will examine these collaborations, many made stronger in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and discuss how strategic partnerships have benefited.
Full details will be announced shortly, including:
- The event's prestigious keynote speaker.
- Panelists and moderators for our interactive workshops with a focus on economic growth and development; food access and availability; healthy environment, healthy communities; and seeking equity.
- Participating restaurants for our "Sustainable Samplings Luncheon" and vendors for our "Hall of Exhibitors."
- Recipients of our 4th Annual Getting It Done Awards.
