Hello friend!

I trust that you are strengthening your divine connection and that you are "Growing Your Faith." According to Colossians 2:7 we must let our roots grow down into Christ. Our lives must be built on Him. For this to happen, we must grow in the word of God. We must root our lives in the principles that Jesus taught and build our lives on those principles. Our faith cannot grow without the word of God because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Man's word generates doubt and fear. God's word generates faith.

The only way we can please God is by having faith. We please God when we dare to take the principles of God's word and apply them to our lives. The word of God will never agree with our circumstances. If we are going to walk with God we have to walk by faith and we have to agree with His word. When we fail to be rooted and established in the word of God, it will keep us from making the kind of progress we need to grow our faith. In fact, our faith should be growing progressively. Jesus made reference to different levels of faith in the gospels.

1.    Little faith

2.    Growing faith

3.    Strong faith

4.    Great faith

God has given to each of us the measure of faith. Today we will learn how to progress from the measure of faith to great faith.

Those with little faith do nothing but react to their circumstances instead of intentionally responding in faith based on God's word. Little faith responds to circumstances with fear. In Matthew 8, Jesus told His disciples to go over to the other side. They started out in faith, but they allowed their emotions to take control when they faced a storm. When our emotions are ruled by fear, they will never lead us into victory. The disciples did not succeed because they were influenced by fear instead of acting on what Jesus instructed them to do in spite of the challenges they were facing. In life, challenges will either grow our faith or our fear.

QUESTION: If fear was not a part of the equation of your life, what would you attempt to do? Something is growing in your life. If your faith is growing you will not fear.

Growing faith required endurance, which is the strength to withstand mental and physical stress when under pressure. The question is not if trouble will come but when trouble will come. There are two witnesses in the Bible that confirm that we will experience trouble in this world. In Job 14:1, he says, "We are all adrift on the same boat." Trouble happens to everyone. The question we must ask ourselves is, "What am I going to do with what happens to me?" We will either respond in faith or fear. Jesus said in John 16:33 that we will experience difficulties in this ungodly world. We can use our faith to live a stress-free life by believing that God is telling the truth all the time about everything, or succumb to the circumstances we face on a daily bases.

REMEMBER: It's not what happens to us in life, it's how we respond to what happens to us. Growing faith means that we are increasing our dependency on God. We can only assess the growth of our faith through the things we endure.

This faith is knowing how to fix our perception by looking at life from the unseen world. Strong faith sees life from God's point of view. When we look at life from our point of view, we look at the problems instead of the solutions.

People who operate in strong faith do not allow the circumstances
to dictate to them what they believe.

Looking at life from a natural point of view puts us at a disadvantage when it comes to walking by faith. Our physical senses always try to disagree with what is possible through strong faith. 2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us to look not at the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen. The things that are seen are temporary. They are subject to change. The things which are not seen are eternal.

STRONG FAITH has the ability to see what is not yet a reality to our natural eyes, and to release the manifestation of God's word into the atmosphere of this natural world.

This faith has a lot to do with conquering what seems like a contradiction in our lives. Hebrews 11:3 says, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." In Genesis 1, God corrected what was wrong by speaking words of faith to the chaotic condition of the world atmosphere. His words have the power to shape things the way He wants them to be. We tend to frame our lives with negative words and wonder why our lives are not improving. Jesus said that by our words we are justified and by our words we are condemned. (Matthew 12:37)

THE POWER OF WORDS - If we are going to shape our world, we have to change the way we speak about life. We have to speak God's word to frame our world.

Accepting things by faith when the natural is saying something different can be the hardest thing for someone to comprehend with the mind, but that's what faith is all about.

Great faith enables us to understand what God does,
to see what others cannot see, and to do what others cannot do!
