Did you know that what we connect to will have influence on our lives? For example, social media has taken over the lives of so many people that they spend more time communicating with their devices than face-to-face with others. Our connection with God cannot be like social media. It must be a face-to-face relationship if we are to ever experience a divine connection with Him.

The biggest setback in the life of Christians is not knowing how to merge their belief with faith. Last time we learned that BELIEVING and FAITH are two sides of the same coin. BELIEF is the starting point. It is the acknowledgement that God does exist. FAITH is acting on our belief with corresponding action. It is acting like God is telling the truth all of the time about everything. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

How do we get this faith that pleases God? Romans 12:3 says that God has given to each of us a measure of faith. The measure of faith is not limited in its size. It can increase and grow. Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." The development of the measure of our faith has a lot to do with our knowledge of God's word. In Colossians 1:9-10, Paul prayed for the church that they would be filled with the knowledge of God's will.

We need to know God's will and consecrate ourselves to carry out His will in our lives. Paul prayed that they would increase in knowledge. We gain knowledge by exposing ourselves to new information. Finally, Paul asked God to give them wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to apply the information we attain in our lives. Information opens us up to things we have never experienced before. We can increase our knowledge through our "Divine Connection' with God.

Remember: Spiritual Success begins on Sunday Morning!

We can and should grow in two types of knowledge.

1. NATURAL KNOWLEDGE: This could also be called SENSE KNOWLEDGE. That's knowledge we gain through our five physical senses and our educational system that enhances our learning about the world around us.

2. REVELATION KNOWLEDGE: This is knowledge that is imparted to us by the Holy Spirit. Peter experienced this knowledge in Matthew 16:13-18. Jesus asked the disciples, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" Their answers were incorrect because their information was based on natural information. Then Jesus asked them "Who do you say that I am?" The only way they could answer was by the Spirit of God, which was revelation knowledge.

REMEMBER: The more we grow in our revelation of God's word, the more corresponding action of what we believe will be manifested in our lives by faith.

In Mark 5:25-34, a woman with an issue of blood heard the right information about Jesus that motivated her to believe that her healing was possible. She responded by taking action. What she heard and believed were the keys that ignited her faith.
  • What she heard she believed.
  • What she believed she said.
  • What she said she acted upon.
Faith will always be impacted by who we listen to.

The power of the woman's words were not tied to what was happening externally, but what was happening to her internally. She said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well." The words of this woman created an image in her mind for her faith to bring healing into manifestation. She said this within herself. Sometimes we have to speak to ourselves and encourage ourselves to stay in the process of faith, trusting God until we experience the manifestation of what we believe.

FAITH BEFORE FEELINGS- The woman with the issue of blood was healed, THEN she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. She didn't wait to feel it first. She acted on what she believed and the feelings followed. She activated her belief with the corresponding action of faith and stayed in the process until she experienced a manifestation of what she believed.
  • What she kept saying was verbal action.
  • What she did was physical action.
  • What she felt was the manifestation of her faith.
Remember: God knows exactly who is connecting to him in the crowd of humanity.
