Episcopal Relief & Development's Visibility & Awareness Update
Responding to Needs in Gaza:
Episcopal Relief & Development is supporting Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza through our partner, the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. Al-Ahli provides care to the community regardless of faith or ability to pay, including psychosocial support for patients and families severely traumatized by violence. Our assistance will provide support for fuel and food, enabling the hospital to continue its life-saving work during this challenging time.
Central American Migrant Crisis:
On July 8, Episcopal Relief & Development coordinated a conference call with Episcopal Migrant Ministries (EMM) that brought together leaders from Episcopal dioceses and affiliated organizations responding to the ongoing Central American migrant crisis. We are supporting St. John's Episcopal Church in McAllen, TX, in providing hygiene and nutrition packs to migrants - mostly single parents with children - arriving at an emergency center housed at the town's Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Parishioners are encouraged make donations to Episcopal Relief & Development's US Disaster Fund. These funds enable Episcopal Relief & Development to provide St. John's and other Church Partners with the essential supplies and resources they need.
Prayerfully,
Thomas Warren, Episcopal Relief & Development Coordinator

Need help signing up for the Newsletter?
Last week, we revealed that News and Notes would be changing September 2. Some questions were asked about the sign up process concerning HTML versus Text. When you sign up, if you choose the HTML version you will see all the text styles and formatting. Text will just be the words with no special format. Either is fine and up to the reader!
If you are having problems with the form, please send your name, email address, and a quick note saying you give permission to be signed up to Chanda Platania at newsletter@diocese-eastcarolina.org.
