God Willing, The Right Reverend Peter James Lee, will ordain Daniel Joseph Stroud to the Sacred Order of Deacons in Christ's One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. The ordination will take place on Saturday, June 7th, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Andrew's On the Sound Episcopal Church, located at 101 Airlie Road in Wilmington, NC.  Your prayers and presence are requested.

Ocean City and the Oceanside Episcopal Mission at Oceanside Episcopal Center will be added as the 17th site on the African-American Heritage Trail in Onslow County. The trail, sponsored by Onslow County Tourism, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Minority Business, celebrates African-American leaders, communities and history in Onslow County.  The ribbon cutting for the marker will be held on May 24th at 4 pm. Student Action with Farmworkers (SAF) is a non-profit organization based in Durham, NC advocating for improved conditions for migrant & seasonal farmworkers. Interns & fellows are college students who will work full-time in rural health clinics, legal aid, migrant education and community organizations in North and South Carolina.  SAF is searching for housing for 24 summer interns as well as 5 fellowsworking for six months. They are interested in homestays, rooms for rent, sublet apartments, duplexes, etc. Most interns & fellows work in pairs and would need to live together as they usually share a car.
