The vestry at St. Paul's, Wilmington has unanimously voted to elect the Reverend Dena Bearl as Rector. Mrs. Bearl has served as Priest-in-Charge since July 2013.  The Parish as well as Mrs. Bearl are pleased to be moving their journey forward together. On Wednesday, March 12, at 6:30pm, the celebration of new ministry will be held at the church (16 N. 16th Street, Wilmington). The Diocesan Office sends blessings and congratulations to Mrs. Bearl and the parish. The performance of "Collage" at St. Mark's Church in Wilmington was described as "truly electrifying". The children in attendance, from "Dreams of Wilmington," shared in the service by reading their own poetry. After, guest Mwatabu Okantah read the poetry to music performed by the Cavanti String Quartet. It was a wonderful day for St. Mark's to be able to share a different style of music with their community.

For the ninth year, the youth group at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampstead participated in the national Souper Bowl of Caring. This program, which occurs on Super Bowl Sunday each year, empowers youth across the nation to fight hunger and poverty in their own communities. This year, Holy Trinity youth collected nearly $400 to donate to the 4Cs Food Pantry in Hampstead. Since they began participating, the Youth Group has collected over $3,000. The national campaign raises about 10-million annually for local hunger relief charities.
