All ages welcome to the 5th Annual Acolyte Festival
Parish Events
December 1st is the First Sunday in Advent
Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Thirty-three attendees from eleven parishes throughout the Diocese of East Carolina met at Trinity Center on November 16 to learn more about mission team trips to the Dominican Republic. A common theme prominent throughout each speaker's presentation was that serving on a mission team builds relationships with others and this is where Christ can be found. Richard Taft and the committee are developing mission teams now for 2014 and 2015. If you are interested, please email Dr. Taft at richardtaft@suddenlink.net. To read more about the conference, please read the article on the Diocesan website. Also, please visit the Dominican Development Group's website for more on the Conference and mission trip information.

An album of photographs from this event is available online here. Publications from the playground project described above are available here: Brochure | Booklet | Poster (printed poster size: 11.25 X 17.75)

In October, priests and  deacons  gathered at Trinity  Center for the College of  Presbyters and Deacons  to share  ideas and have to time  for  fellowship. Please click on the  picture of Bishop Lee to  view  more images from this  conference.
Thank you to The  Rev. Ed  Mullins  for sharing these  photos!

Calling Acolytes of All Ages!

Have you considered bringing a group of acolytes to the festival but thought "we don't have young people"?  The Acolyte Festival is an intergenerational event for all ages! We have had acolytes as young as 4 years old all the way up to 84 years old. Nobody is too young or too old to attend.

To read more about the schedule of events at the festival, continue reading this article at the Diocesan website.

Don't forget to register for the 5th Annual Acolyte Festival. You can download a form at the Acolyte Festival page
