Reminders for Upcoming Events 
November 15-

Fraser fir Christmas Wreaths are available to support the education of children in the Dominican Republic. The wreaths are available in 20 inches and 26 inches. Each wreath is decorated with a hand-made bow (you choose the bow at pick up) and fresh, local pine cones. Shipping boxes are available.

The sale ends Sunday, November 24th. If you have questions, please email them to coswreaths@gmail.com

All wreaths must be picked up at Church of the Servant on

Saturday, December 7 from 11:00am - 1:00pm 
OR 

Sunday, December 8 from 9:00am - 1:00pm.


 

 

The next Schola Evensong performance will be Sunday,

November 17, at St. Stephen's, 200 N. James St., Goldsboro, at 5:30pm.

 
St. Christopher's, Havelock is in need of an organist or pianist to play traditional and contemporary music on Sunday mornings at the 10:00 AM service.  Compensation is negotiable.  For more information call (252) 726-8553.

Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Grant Application available

 

The 2014 Millennium Development Goals Grant form is now available on the Diocesan website. The MDG's are eight goals to be achieved by 2015 that respond to the world's main development challenges. The MDG's are drawn from the actions and targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations-and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000.

Happening is a weekend for youth (9th-12th grade) and adult youth leaders who are active participants within an Episcopal parish in the Diocese of East Carolina. It is a powerful instrument of renewal and the aim is to concentrate closely on the person and the teachings of Jesus Christ and his ongoing Living Body-the Church. The deadline for Happening registration is December 16! The Pamlico Deanery "Seeing the Face of God in Each Other" Workshop will be held at St. Paul's Church, located at 401 E. 4th St. in Greenville. The workshop will be on Saturday, November 16,  from 9:00am to 4:00pm. 

 

Sign in will begin at 8:30am on the day of the workshop. To register please contact Hannah Jarman by email or at (252) 522-0885 ext. 228.  Make sure to include the following: attendee's name, their parish, their home/work phone, e-mail, and which location and session they would like to attend. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY TUESDAY PRECEDING THE WORKSHOP DATE! St. Paul's Church, located at 16 N. 16th St. in Wilmington, presents the "Coastal Carolina Christmas", a weekend long event featuring music,  food and fellowship.

Song of Simeon: A Christmas Journey at St. Paul's, Wilmington

 

Join the parishioners at St. Paul's, Wilmington (16 N. 16th St.) to enjoy "Song of Simeon" performed by the Will Scruggs Jazz Fellowship on December 7, at 7:00pm. This concert is part of the "Carolina Coastal Christmas" event sponsored by St. Paul's Church. On December 7, come to Zion Church in Washington (7322 Hwy 264 E.) for "The Art of Advent", a time to reflect on the meaning of Advent through words, art or other visual means. This event will be led by The Ven. Sonny Browne, rector at Trinity Episcopal Church, Chocowinity.  The schedule of events is as follows:   

9:30am - Registration 

10:00am - 12:00pm - The Art of Advent 

12:00pm- 12:45 pm - Lunch  

1:00pm - 2:00pm - Holy Eucharist
