Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,

Ramadan begins next weekend and ticket sales for our Pre-Ramadan Fundraising Dinner end tonight, May 19, at 6 p.m.!

now before registration closes. No tickets will be sold at the door. This year, the dinner will take place on Saturday, May 20, at the Hilton Pasadena from 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. We are excited to welcome Umar Hakim as our Featured Speaker, Mohamed Bzeek as our Honored Guest, and Aron Kader as our comedy entertainment of the evening. We look forward to seeing you all there!

On Sunday, the Center will be open for youth programs, but our regular Sunday Program (Highlights of the Quran, Parents Circle, & Sunday Lecture) is now on a break until the end of Ramadan. This weekend, the New Horizon School will have a Pre-Ramadan Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the back parking lot. There will be vendor booths with jewelry and clothing for sale, food, henna, games and jumpers for the children. Bring the kids - this will be a fun event for the whole family!

Also, please note that our Sunday School students will be taking their end-of-year tests this weekend. Please make every effort possible to have your children present and on-time for testing. The last day of Sunday School for the 2016 - 2017 school year will be Sunday, June 4.

Finally, on Sunday night from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., the Interfaith Study Group will be holding a special session here at the Islamic Center called, "Guideposts for my Soul," with Rabbi Noam Raucher. Rabbi Raucher is the Senior Rabbi at Pasadena Temple and Center - he will be discussing how to shape a spiritual life in the 21st Century.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

In peace,
Islamic Center of Southern California
