Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,

This weekend, our focus will be on reflecting deeply on our connection with the Divine. We will explore this through service at our weekly Food Pantry, art at the Gathering All Muslim Artists (GAMA) LA Art Exhibit, and new discussion series in our Sunday Program.

Dr. Saleh Kholaki will introduce us to "Rahmah: The Concept of Mercy" in a four week Highlights of the Qur'an series, Sundays at 10 a.m. Parents Circle continues discussion surrounding the book, "Positive Parenting for the Muslim Home," and at noon, we welcome Dr. Zaman Stanizai for a reflective session titled, "God: Whom the Boldness of Thought Cannot Describe and the Depth of Perception Cannot Grasp." We hope you and your loved ones will join us for these programs on Sunday.

The Muslim Youth Group will have its annual Ski Trip from Feb. 17-20. Registration deadline is Sunday, Feb. 5. Scroll down for details or click here.

The Islamic Center and MPAC are also proud to announce a "United for America Rally" that will be held at the Islamic Center on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 2 - 4 p.m.  More details will be announced soon. On Feb. 2, The Islamic Center of Southern California hosted a press conference to address last week's Executive Order banning immigrants and refugees from 7 Muslim-majority countries. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Councilman Mitch O'Farrell, and City Attorney Mike Feuer all spoke as did Salam Al-Marayati, President of MPAC, and Hedab Tarifi, ICSC Chairperson.
