Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,
Spiritual Night was a beautiful evening of prayer and reflection with a heart touching reminder about prayer from Dr. Saleh Kholaki. Thank you for taking part.
We have a lot of fun events coming up at the Center, like the Sunrise Hike tomorrow at 7 a.m. Please consider our programs as you plan your weekends ahead.
In peace,

Community Corner
"Cherishing our Diverse Community"
By Kristen Stangas (Communications Coordinator)
|
The Islamic Center has built an inclusive culture that embraces and respects diversity in our community. In support of this important cornerstone, the Center established a Social Services Committee to help introduce and maintain relationships among our members.
In Islam, the idea of community (Ummah) is not established on the premise of nationality, race, socioeconomic status or other special interests. The Ummah spans far beyond any family name, historic event or border. As Muslims, we recognize the brothers and sisters, our Ummah, only by their submission to the will of Allah. Our community is our spiritual home and encourages us to strive toward good.
"Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining in what is right and forbidding all that is wrong. And it is they who are the successful." (Qur'an 3:104)
As we continue to strengthen our community through sincere social connection, service and spiritual development, we welcome you to participate in the many enriching programs and activities for our members. The following are some of the upcoming events:
- Senior Day on Aug. 21
- Sunday School Begins on Aug. 21
- Labor Day Picnic on Sept. 4
- Spiritual Night on Nov. 5
- Junior Youth Group/Muslim Youth Group (Sundays)
- Family Movie Nights (Coming soon!)
- Ping Pong Tournaments (Coming soon!)
Come be a part of the community. Help us build and strengthen our Ummah while growing in your own spiritual connection.

What's new in our community?
|
For the past 10 years, ICSC has been serving groceries to the local community. Each weekend, approximately 25 volunteers meet in our cafeteria to take part in this event. We have partnered with HopeNet to provide high quality food such as organic meat and fresh produce. If you are interested in being a part of our team, come join us at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday! Doors open to the public at 10:30 a.m. View recent photos from our Food Pantry

Prayer Times
We are open for prayers five times a day, every day. Iqama is ten minutes after the athan is called. You can find prayer times on our website.
"The Muslim ummah is like one body. If the eye is in pain then the whole body is in pain and if the head is in pain then the whole body is in pain."
