This weekend we will take the opportunity to extend our appreciation to all of the women in our lives who have taken on the role of a mother. Mothers are the hearts of our homes, the lights that lead us in learning, and the nurturers of our spirits. Thank you for all that you do.

Ramadan on the Horizon:
|
We are only one month away from welcoming our holy month of Ramadan. As June 6th nears, we begin preparing for a month of prayer, fasting, and spiritual connection with our community. This is our time of replenishment and renewal - each year, we gather at the Islamic Center to break our fasts, pray taraweeh, and listen to reflections from spiritual leaders in our community. This year we will host another fulfilling Ramadan program and look forward to sharing the experience with you. If you are interested in volunteering or sponsoring an iftar, please consider giving generously of your time and financial contributions.
Our first event will take place on June 4, when we host our annual Pre-Ramadan Fundraising Dinner at the Islamic Center. This year, we welcome Dr. Laila Al-Marayati as our keynote speaker as our night centers around the theme, "Spirituality Towards Revivalism." Please reserve your tickets today if you have not yet had an opportunity to do so.
Insha'Allah, this Ramadan will be a month of blessings and spiritual awakening for us all.

Junior Youth Group (JYG:)
JYG meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. in the JYG room
This Sunday (May 8)
Our students will present activism projects and continue our presentations on Prophet Musa. We will also have a special guest speaker visiting.
Muslim Youth Group (MYG:)
MYG meets every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Youth Room
Shark Tank: MYG will be breaking into groups to brainstorm lucrative business ventures and then give their best shot at pitching them to our sharks.

For the past 10 years, ICSC has been serving groceries to the local community. Each weekend, approximately 25 volunteers meet in our cafeteria to take part in this event. We have partnered with HopeNet to provide high quality food such as organic meat and fresh produce. If you are interested in being a part of our team, come join us at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday! Prayer Times
We are open for prayers five times a day, every day. Iqama is ten minutes after the athan is called. You can find prayer times on our website.
