Assalamu Alaikum
Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,
This coming Sunday, Feb. 14, we will have our General Membership Meeting (open to everyone). Board elections will be taking place. And so, it is with grateful hearts that we extend our thanks to our current Chairman, Omar Ricci, and three other Board Members, Ahmed Elhadary, Zee Zee Baset, and Shaheen Veera, for all of their hard work and leadership on our Board. May Allah reward them for their service, insha'Allah.
One note to keep in mind as you navigate to ICSC this weekend - It is the L.A. Marathon, so give yourself a little extra time and check your normal route to see if you might be impacted by the race.

I have had the best experience volunteering at the ICSC Food Pantry distributing food. It is always fun working with friends from different backgrounds, and it is the only place that I feel everyone is together without problems. The vibe at the pantry reduces my anxiety, makes me think less about myself, and reminds me to care about other people. It has made me appreciate the world more. I have a second family to work with at the pantry. I feel like a better person when I am able to help the people in the community who need a little extra help.

New Horizon and
Sunday School
*NO SCHOOL ON FEB. 15 - PRESIDENTS' DAY*
Walk-A-Thon: Check out some photos from our New Horizon Walk-A-Thon this past Wednesday.
World's Finest Chocolate: Get it before it's gone. The New Horizon PTO is selling chocolate bars as a fundraiser for the school. Each bar is $1 or you can buy a box for $60. Please contact the school office for more information.
We are always accepting new students. For more information about our New Horizon elementary school or our Sunday School program, please contact Hadir Elsayad.

Muslim Youth Group (MYG:)
MYG meets every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Youth Room
This Weekend (2/12 - 2/15):
We're going to Big Bear for our annual Ski Trip. It will be a weekend of socializing and spirituality. Stay tuned for pictures to come.

"Building Healthy Relationships" with Salam and Laila Al-Marayati. Following their presentation, we will be attending the "Get to Know Each Other - Partnership for Positive Change" event with Bilal Islamic Center.

Prayer Times
We are open for prayers five times a day, every day. Iqama is ten minutes after the athan is called. You can find prayer times on our website.
