Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,

Happy New Year!  We're back in action here at the Center and have many enriching opportunities for the whole family in the weeks to come.  This Sunday, Jan. 10, we will have the first gathering for the "Get to Know Each Other" Program.  If you're looking for a chance to give service, take a look at our volunteer section below to find out more about the dinner we will be distributing at the Union Rescue Mission in the next couple of weeks.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Special Sunday Program on Jan. 10
How well do you know your brothers and sisters who attend other Islamic centers in the Los Angeles area?  Would you like to get to know them on a deeper, more personal level?

One of the most beautiful parts of our faith is the diversity in our Muslim community. Islam is a religion brought to all of humanity, and therefore, our family spans widely across various cultural, socioeconomic, and racial backgrounds.  Even though we are all Muslim, our diverse communities have a myriad of challenges and conversations that differ based on our needs.

This weekend (Jan. 10), part of our usual Sunday Program has been relocated to Bilal Islamic Center from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m for the "Get to Know Each Other" Program. There will NOT be a 12 p.m. speaker at ICSC.

This is the first in a series of monthly events organized to insha'Allah strengthen the bonds of our ummah across Los Angeles.  Please consider attending this event to make new friends and gain a deeper understanding of the lives of our Muslim brothers and sisters.

We hope to see you there!

Please contact Kristen Stangas, Communication Coordinator with any questions.

Shoe Drive:
We've hit a standstill. Please bring us your old shoes!

The New Horizon shoe drive has been extended until January 31.

Our goal is 2,500 pairs of shoes. You may donate any old shoes as long as they do not have holes in the soles. All donations will be distributed to those in need.

If we reach this goal, New Horizon will receive $2,000 for the school. Please help support our students.

of the way to our goal!

Do you shop at Ralphs?

If you're a Rewards Card member, it's easy for you to donate a portion of every purchase to our New Horizon School through the Ralphs Community Contribution Program.  By linking your existing Rewards Card to our non-profit ID number, you can benefit our school by just buying your groceries!

For additional information, please link to the instructions on our ICSC website.
