Today a realtor called (it's Sunday) and asked if we had someone who could clean carpets for a potential new client listing. She (the realtor) hasn't met or signed the listing for this homeowner yet, but, in traditional realtor fashion, she wanted to provide exemplary customer service and if the homeowner wanted her carpets done today (again, it's a Sunday), the realtor was going to find a way to get that done.
So she called us and we contacted our carpet cleaners and they said 'yes'. We set up the cleaning directly with the homeowner who was extremely grateful and appreciative and we made sure to let her know that if there was anything else we could do to help her sell her home; we are there for both her AND her realtor.
The homeowner was thrilled.
This situation went right on all sorts of levels. First of all, Executive Errands® is available 24/7 and while most people respect our evenings and weekends, we do answer the phone or promptly respond no matter what. The realtor who called had already left voicemails with two other companies -- neither of which called her back. We answered the phone on her first ring.
Secondly, because of our relationship with our vendors, we get above average customer service and support. Sometimes we might not be able to support a weekend request, but we do have quite a number of service providers who are available for emergencies or urgent situations. We don't know why the homeowner wanted the carpet cleaned on a Sunday, but you know what? The reason doesn't matter -- only the customer service does.
Third, the realtor knew to call us. Welllll, disappointingly, she didn't think of us first, but her boss did and sent her directly to us. She was so happy we could help her and it seems a safe bet that her ability to support this homeowner's request for carpet cleaning on short notice AND a weekend pretty much assures the listing tomorrow when they meet in person for the first time.
