Register today for "Multi-Generational Communities-Aging in Place". This is the second session of The Community Institute and will feature a 1 1/2 day training session with national and regional faculty members, hands-on field work and leadership skills. It will be held in Damariscotta on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28, 2015 and includes a FREE Friday evening presentation open to the general public by Nick Buettner of The Blue Zones Project on "Living Longer and Better". The Blue Zones began as a National Geographic expedition evolved into a recipe for living longer and healthier. Our key note speaker will discuss this community well-being improvement initiative designed to make healthy choices easier through permanent changes to environment, policy, and social networks.

The Community Institute session will be held in downtown Damariscotta at the Baptist Church and  is sponsored by and held in collaboration with AARP, Coastal Enterprises, Maine Association of Planners, Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, Spectrum Generations, Healthy Lincoln County, GrowSmart Maine, Midcoast Leadership Academy, Maine Downtown Center and the Town of Damariscotta, to name a few.
 
 

Live Better, Live Longer - The Blue Zones Project

Join us for a FREE evening presentation, open to the public, with Nick Buettner from the Blue Zones Project on Living Better, Longer. The talk will be held on Friday, February 27 at 7 p.m. at the Baptist Church, 4 Bristol Road, downtown Damariscotta.
