WORKSHOP SET #3: MONDAY, JANUARY 24.
Please join us for the third set of twelve workshops planned over the next five months to talk about Form Based Codes and how they should work in Damariscotta.
FORM BASED CODES WORKSHOP #3 with Consultant Robert Orr and Team
The Robert Orr code writing team will be in Damariscotta on Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 25 to begin the code writing process with the Town. Much of their time will be working in town, taking measurements, writing and editing the code, drawing, and meeting with staff, etc. There are two opportunities for the public to particpate.
January 24, 2011 (TONIGHT!)
6:30-8:30 pm Public Workshop on Form Based Codes and the Code Writing process. Q & A. Mobius Community Room (next to Rising Tide and across from Yellowfront)
On January 25, 2011, code writers will be at the minucipal building all day working with staff and DPAC members to fine tune the code.

6:30-8:30 pm Public Workshop on early drafts of code (Mobius)

February 1, 2011 Cafe Session: Drop in between 9:30 am and 11: 30 am at the Maine Coast Bookstore.
Consultant Paul Dreher will also be meeting with small groups and individual stakeholders and property owners to discuss the opportunities the new code provides them. |

Over the next 5 months we have planned 8 more workshops with consultant Paul Dreher and code writing consultant Robert Orr. You will have many opportunities to learn about Form Based Codes, how they can work in Damariscotta, and why they are a good tool for the town and for property owners as well as the opportunity to add your opinions to how the code should be shaped.
The tentative schedule is:
