Form Based Codes Exploration: NEW DATE July 20
Are Form Based Codes a good fit for Damariscotta? If you've been participating in, or just following the Damariscotta Heart & Soul effort to develop a vision for Damariscotta's future, you may have heard the term, "Form Based Code." But like many people you may not be clear about how this relatively new way to maintain a town's visual character while encouraging growth actually might affect Damariscotta, Now's your chance to find out.
The topic will be the focus of the July 20 meeting of the Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee (DPAC), to be held in the town hall meeting room from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
DPAC has invited Alan S. Manoian, AICP, Principal - M Contextual Planning, and the Director of Economic & Community Development, Town of Bridgton, ME, to speak about Form Based Codes and how they have been and can be applied in Maine Communities. As always, all are welcome and encouraged to attend!
