DPAC News
Greetings!

Over the next few weeks, the Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee will be working in sub-committees to address the many projects identified by the community over the past 2 years. These include multi-modal transportation, satellite and seasonal employee parking, public restrooms, and developing a town business strategy, to name a few.

The next regular DPAC meeting will be on Tuesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the Town Offices. This will be a
regularly scheduled bi-weekly meeting. It is open to the public and we encourage your participation.

The agenda for this meeting and minutes of previous meetings are available on the Town of Damariscotta website. Just click on the link to the right or visit www.damariscottame.com.

Youth Engagement

About a dozen Lincoln Academy students have been meeting with DPAC members Heather Bolint and Marianne Pinkham and Heart and Soul Program coordinator Jane Lafleur to identify things young people  might like to see in Damariscotta to make the town a better place, to possibly develop a project to carry out and to develop a long term strategy for youth engagement.

At their last meeting, students discussed developing a survey for Lincoln Academy students to get a wider range of opinions. Students hope to develop, administer and tabulate the survey over the next month and present the ideas to DPAC.
Charrette Report Update Damariscotta Postcard

The consultant team of Bill Dennis Town Design is working to complete the Charrette Report and to incorporate edits made by DPAC. DPAC expects to receive a final version on April 6 with a final presentation to the public on April 20. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
