DPAC Tabloid Tabloid page 1
Did you see the Damariscotta tabloid in the last edition of Lincoln County News? You can view it on line here...Be a Part of History

Thank you to the Lincoln County News for their generous support for this project as well as the Damariscotta Region Business Alliance, the Damariscotta River Association, Spectrum Generations, Skidompha Library, the Town of Damariscotta Friends of Midcoast Maine and many others for making this publication possible.

Damariscotta 2030: What do we value now and want to maintain for the future?
DPAC was out in full force at the 2009 Pumpkin Fest, offering fun, but unscientific, candy corn voting to dig deeper into the values held in town. Voting results are noted with each value that people were asked to "vote" on, in response to the question, "What is most important to you in Damariscotta?"

25% Damariscotta is where culture and nature meet:Right out our backdoors we might see a moose or seal but we also have fine restaurants, art galleries, theater, bookstores and library, all within walking distance.

21% There is a strong sense of community: Damariscotta is a friendly, safe, small town, where people trust each other.

18% We are an involved community that participates in schools, organizations, churches, government and community events and festivals.

15% We can work locally and can grow locally owned businesses.

14% We can live locally meeting our daily needs by supporting our helpful merchants.

7% Damariscotta is accessible:
We have easy access to goods and services, to local government and to information.

What is most important to you?
Damariscotta Movie Coming Soon Photo Booth for Movie
The DPAC intern, Brittany, is producing a movie about Damariscotta, featuring YOU! She photographed hundreds of residents and visitors at the Pumpkin Fest and their pictures and written words are being turned into a video about Damariscotta. Come to the charrette to see the finished product.

Please forward this information to your friends, neighbors and colleagues who may be interested in hearing more about DPAC and the future of Damariscotta.

Sincerely,
Jane Lafleur
