Help Plan Damariscotta's Future!

Come to the Planning Meeting September 22 at Round Top Barn!  We've heard your stories, ideas and hopes for
Damariscotta's future. We've drafted a community vision.
Now tell us whether we got it right.

Join us to review a draft vision statement, hear what the Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee (DPAC) has learned through citizens' stories, interviews and surveys and share your feedback.

This meeting will help structure a multi-day planning charrette to be held on October 22-26. The charrette will allow ALL members of the community to work together to define and design a COMMON VISION for Damariscotta's future.

Join us on September 22 at 6:30 p.m.
"Chalk on the Walk" Skateboarder

The first annual Heart and Soul "Chalk on the Walk" was held on Labor Day in the library parking lot and a number of area youth joined in the fun and free pizza!  These young people illustrated the heart and soul of Damariscotta, the things they love about town in their own art work.

They completed drawings of skateboarders, Round Top ice cream, their friends, the waterfront, lobsters, and  the pumpkin festival, to mention a few.

Stay tuned for more projects designed by our intern, Brittany Oliver,  to capture the opinions of Damariscotta youth! Watch for a pumpkin decorated or carved by young people and a movie coming soon!
Please forward this information to your friends, neighbors and colleagues who may be interested in hearing more about DPAC and the future of Damariscotta.

Sincerely,
Jane Lafleur
