Greetings!
DPAC members would like to thank everyone who attended the 2nd Community Conversation on March 5.
The stories were varied and rich and the themes generated from these stories are giving DPAC good direction about the values in the community. These values will help the committee toward developing a written vision for the town that will help guide future growth and development in Damariscotta.

Prize Winner!
Caeli Shadis was the winner of $50 Damariscotta Dollars! Caeli's name was chosen by Buzz Pinkham from the names of people who took the on-line survey about planning and public involvement in town.
Caeli noted
"Winning the Damariscotta Dollars was a lot of fun! Thanks so much...my two sons, Thomas (10) and Asa (11) helped me fill out the survey, so we are sharing the Damariscotta Dollars prize. We started our spending spree yesterday at, of course, Reny's, where Asa picked out a snappy new pair of shorts and a six pack of socks! It was a stylish new shirt for me, and Thomas decided to hold out for something a little more fun, so we'll hit the shops again after school today to see what else we can find. I really appreciate all the work you do, and the opportunity to have my family's voice heard in the planning process."
Congratulations, Caeli! |

What's next?
Over the next few months several DPAC members will continue to collect stories from individuals and groups in town. The Committee will use these stories and the themes highlighted by the story-teller to identify values that are important to the town. From these values DPAC will help the community develop a future vision for growth and development.
We also will be holding Community Forums on specific topics including soliciting community input on shore and harbor planning, the Piper Village property and other topics.
Stay tuned for more information. Please let your friends and neighbors know that DPAC would like to hear from everyone! |
