Dear World Tai Chi & Qigong Day Supporters,
If you sign up now, you can still get the National Qigong Association National Conference's Early Bird Special Registration. Expires May 20th.
Some of you know that the NQA Annual Conference was in many ways a launch point for World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, NQA founding board member, Roger Jahnke, was the reason World Tai Chi Day became World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, and the WTCQD motto "One World ... One Breath," was heavily influenced by NQA keynote speaker, and former champion China Wushu Coach and now healing Qigong teacher, Master Li's extolling WTCQD founders "If you organize this world event, do it for love, or don't do it at all."
Brooklyn, New York's World Tai Chi & Qigong Day event's video is really beautiful.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Everyone KEEP YOUR WTCQD EVENT VIDEO FILES! Here's why:
We were planning to encourage groups worldwide to video TESTIMONIALS of HEALTH BENEFITS students worldwide have gotten, in all the languages. But, Ken Ryan of Maine, read our minds and included health testimonials from students in his WTCQD Event video. You can all use this for a model. If you don't know video editing you should. Windows Movie Maker is a free program anyone can download. Play with it, and you'll figure it out, or ask your group members or students if they or their children or grandchildren know how to use it, kids learn this stuff in school these days :-)
Here's Ken Ryan, of Maine's beautiful example of what we all can do, and you'll notice the Harvard link we have at www.WorldTaiChiDay.org also has testimonials in the Parkinson's video Harvard links to on their page:
It is very encouraging to see so many young people participating in countries worldwide this year! Good to see the world realizing that Tai Chi is good for EVERYONE! Recent research at George Mason University shows that students who meditate do much better on tests and quizzes than those who don't. Its only a matter of time until mind-body practices like tai chi and qigong will be part of public education, just like health science and phys ed. And in 12 short years we would graduate an entire generation of mind-body masters who would be seeking schools and groups to study with after graduation and for the rest of their lives.
PLEASE ... SEND US YOUR EVEN'T VIDEO YOUTUBE LINKS & then POST YOUR VIDEO/PHOTOS/STORY TO CNN iREPORTS ... SEE BELOW! We'll share your events with the world!! Also send us the links to your CNN iReports, and we'll share those worldwide!

Colcester, Conneticuts
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day Event!
April 27th was a great day for Tai Chi and Qigong in Colchester, CT as 17 schools and 25 teachers presented 31 free classes and numerous demonstrations on the beautiful Colchester Town Green. Our 15th annual Tai Chi and Qigong Day celebration was well received by experienced and novice practitioners alike and gave many local citizens their first taste of a wide variety of healing and martial arts.
The day began with Colchester joining the world wide wave as Laddie Sacharko lead the 125 plus early attendees in a beautiful, energy connected rendition of the Eight Brocade. After introductions of teachers and masters all schools set out to practice tai chi joined by many enthusiastic newcomers. Two morning sessions of 8 classes each were followed by short teacher and master demonstrations of some rarely seen routines, including Dr Ming Wu and Fast Taiji, Grandmaster Jiang Jian-ye doing Taiji Palm and Master Zhang Zhou Xun's Hun Yuan 48 form.
Afternoon classes and workshops ran simultaneously with teacher and student demonstrations to give everyone who wanted the opportunity to present. Feedback from attendees called this one of our "best yet" WTCQD events. Congratulations to all who contributed to this wonderful day!
Thanks!
