Dear World Tai Chi & Qigong Day Supporters,

Saturday, April 27th, 10 am local time, in hundreds of cities, in over 70 nations, the world will quietly be washed over by a wave of healing qi and intent, as tai chi and qigong players of all styles come together as one family, to breathe together.

The Governor of Tennessee just officially proclaimed World Tai Chi & Qigong Day for the great state of Tennessee! Harvard Medical School is releasing their Tai Chi Medical Research  Lecture/Videos on WTCQD 2013. We'll send links as soon as they are released. Please share them widely when we do!

SCROLL DOWN TO FIND LINKS TO MEDIA CONTACTS FOR YOUR LOCAL CITIES WORLDWIDE. Here in Kansas City we've gotten our event posted on TV station and print media community calendars, and have a TV interview set up for the morning of WTCQD.  Act now to get local media coverage!

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 2013
"One World ... One Breath."

Just in from author, Matthew Harrigan, a generous and important FREE book gift to celebrate WTCQD 2013:

Dear Bill & World Tai Chi & Qigong Day supporters,
I have been a fan and follower of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day
since its inception.

I wanted to let you know that in honor of WTCQD I am giving
away the kindle edition of my book, Body Energy - Discover
The Secrets Of The Chinese Body Energy Clock all day
on Saturday, 4/27, to anyone that wants to download it. They
do not need to own a kindle, Amazon has apps for PC, Macs,
iPads, and phones that allow anyone to read a kindle book.
(see link below)
http://www.amazon.com/Body-Energy-Discover-Techniques-ebook/dp/B00A7Y65HQ

Please let your members know they can download the book for free on 4/27!

Wishing you a very successful and peaceful WTCQD.

Sincerely,
Matthew Harrigan, author of Body Energy

It is beneficial for Tai Chi and Qigong teachers to understand Chinese Medicine and the Horary Clock. Not to practice TCM, but just to fill in their tai chi and qigong understanding with another layer of depth.

Just in!  Nevada County, California's Board of County Supervisors just issued a Resolution on World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, and the local Kawainas Club is supporting their WTCQD event.

VIDEO YOUR EVENT: Ask your group, students (or get them to ask their children or grandchildren) to bring a video camera, or a cell phone with a camcorder app (many have them), to shoot 3 to 5 minute video clips of your WTCQD event to place on Youtube after your event on Saturday, April 27th, 2013.

Shoot clips of opening speeches, the mass tai chi/qigong wave, short interviews with why people came, what WTCQD means to them, how tai chi and qigong have helped them, etc. Keep these a couple of minutes long for youtube. You an shoot many, but keep them all short, people watch short, not long videos.  Try to get your local event WTCQD Banner into the frames of videos.

Then send us the youtube links at wtcqd2000@aol.com.

Download the jpeg image of the WTCQD Banner and take it to a print shop to print a poster of it you can have at your event. Mark your local city/nation/website on it so the world will know where your event is and make sure the banner is in your video clips. We got our Kansas City banner printed at Costco for $20.

Contact your closest Associated Press office about covering your local event.

Also, Reuters, UPI, and Agence France Presse (TV and Print). We do the painstaking homework so its easier for you to contact your local media:

PRESS RELEASE: On Saturday, April 27th, in hundreds of cities in over 70 nations mass tai chi and qigong teach-ins and exhibitions will be held to educate the world about the health benefits of tai chi, and to bring people together across racial, ethnic, and geopolitical borders for a common vision of personal and global health & healing.

This month the newly released Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi cited this global health education event "World Tai Chi & Qigong Day." The National Assembly of Brazil just honored this global event.

www.worldtaichiday.org. Why?

Harvard Medical Publication called tai chi "medication in motion" for all the myriad health issues it could help or treat. Mounting research shows this first line health treatment could save hundreds of billions in avoided future health challenges as its popularity expands. The Mayo clinic says 2.5 million Americans are now using tai chi for health enhancement.

Mass events in US, Iran, Israel, Egypt, Brazil, Cuba, Canada, Hong Kong, Manilla, etc.
