Girl Scout Leadership Institute Patrol 2014

We are reopening the GSLI patrol for new applicants! The new deadline to apply is May 1, 2014. Please send your applications to Jennifer Akins. Patrol applications can be found on our travel Web page

The GSLI is a triennial conference that coincides with the Girl Scout National Convention. This three day institute offers girls the opportunity to connect with other Girl Scouts from around the world, develop new skills, and take advantage of a support system that will be there to meet her needs - all delivered in a fun and engaging way. Each GSLI is unique, and the 2014 GSLI in Salt Lake City is no exception. This GSLI will focus on big issues that girls around the world are passionate about. Girls will get the latest information on their chosen issues from experts in the field, work together on solutions, learn techniques for innovation, advocacy, and planning, and return home ready to make a specific impact in their communities. In addition to the GSLI, girls and adults will also get to take in the National Convention, its hall of exhibits, exciting conversations of consequence and the National Council Session. This is truly a Girl Scout experience of a lifetime.

Girls will meet prior to the GSLI to plan additional sight-seeing opportunities, travel and lodging.

The GSLI will run from October 16 - 18, 2014, travel to and from Utah will be additional days. Girls must be 14 years or older at the time of the trip.

Cost will be determined by the patrol but we estimate it to be approximately $700.
