The new service center will feature improved parking, especially for store visitors and night and weekend meetings. The Program Guide is Going Digital

Your opinion needed on new features - take the survey!

There is something new coming.....a new Program Guide! GSOSW is excited to announce a new all digital version of our Program Guide. This isn't going to be the same old Program Guide either! We are hard at work developing new informative sections of the book to help you have as many Girl Scout tools at your fingertips as possible. The Program Guide will go live on our website at the end of February and each household will receive a postcard announcing the new online edition.

The Program Guide will include the standard information you've come to expect such as how to register for events, and a complete listing of events and travel opportunities. The switch to digital will allow us to provide a full color guide with no page limits! Additional features we are exploring include:

  • Expanded event and travel listings with more details!
  • A quick "at-a-glance" index of all events.
  • New learning tip sections for quick opportunities to understand the Girl Scout Leadership Experience better!
  • Programs on Demand - We are refining the programs we develop with our council partners to develop programs you can arrange to fit your schedule!

Which new sections would help you most? Let us know! Take this short survey to let us know what you think »

Girls & Adult Volunteers Needed for Portland Service Center Open House

GSOSW will host an open house at the Portland Service Center from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on March 5, 2012. We are looking for girls and adults to help with activities such as dreaming up and serving Girl Scout cookie creations, greeting guests, and leading tours of the building. Please contact Shannon Spencer at (503) 977-6843 or sspencer@girlscoutsosw.org if you would like to participate, have ideas or want to be involved.

Attend Group Setting Training!

The best way to learn about Girl Scout resources, programs and girl leadership is to attend group setting trainings. Many are offered throughout the council on a monthly basis. Below are some of the group setting trainings scheduled for February, and Personify can help you locate exact dates and locations. If you don't see one in your area, contact the Learning Services department to make a request by email at adultdevelopment@girlscoutsosw.org.
