I hope everyone is off to a good start this year. I love the beginning of a new year because I feel like we all get a clean, fresh slate. Same goes for spring's arrival, which is right around the corner. Only a few more weeks before it's official debut on March 22nd! I'm looking forward to shooting outside again, and this spring you will find me shooting in California the last week of March. I also have added a new twist to my mini shoots. Read below for all the details.

I've decided it was time to mix it up a bit this year and am doing something a little different for my spring mini shoots. Since they will be held on May 4th, a week before Mother's Day (perfect gift idea for mom or grandma), I am letting the moms pick the location. I am only offering 4 shoots, all of which will be one hour, at the location of YOUR choice. We can meet at your home (if your home receives good natural light), in your neighborhood, on the streets of downtown New York, at the high line, or at the Conservatory Gardens. So many options, the choice is yours!
Date: May 4th, rain date is May 5th Time: 8am, 9:30, 11:00 and 12:30 Location: New York City only Cost: $450.00
Book now or save the date. More details to follow. |
For those who follow me on Instagram or read my blog, you know about my new commitment to healthier living this year. I decided to make-over our diet and in an effort to cook better meals for my boys, I recently went to a Cookbook club at Stone Barns Farm to hear Jenny Rosenstrach speak about her new book Dinner, A Love Story. If you struggle with meal planning, recipe ideas or how to cook one meal that you, your husband and your children will all eat, you should read this book.
Dinner: A Love Story is a cookbook/memoir that covers all the things that can happen at the family dinner table during all stages of a family's life. That means it covers the Just-Moved-in-Together Stage, the Just-Married Stage, the New Parent Stage, the Bonafide All-Parties-Present-and-Eating Stage. It contains nearly 120 recipes (favorites from Jenny's blog as well as brand new soon-to-be favorites) and over 50 color photographs. It is a book for anyone reaching a milestone - moving in together, getting married, having a baby - as well as anyone who thinks that ending the day with a shared meal is, well...just about the best way to end a day.
Here is one of my favorite recipes from her blog, Greek-style Shrimp and Feta. I like to serve it over couscous or orzo. |
