Meet our new Elves on the block!  Please help me welcome our newest additions to the Elves workshop, Tim Morris and Liza Levin!

Joining our team, these awesome individuals have already added invaluable skill and expertise to the office environment, and we're excited to jump into our Back to School Drive season with their contagious energy.

Read all about them, and the rest of our amazing staff here.

Not only are we welcoming new faces, but we're also adding several exciting ways for you to get involved and support the Back to School Drive!

FGT and the SJ SaberCats are teaming up to "Be the Roar"!

Join us as the SaberCats battle the Arizona Rattlers on Friday, June 27 at 7:30 PM at SAP Center.  Purchase your tickets here, and a percentage of the sale will be donated to support the Back to School Drive!  Can't make the game?  Sponsor a child who can not afford to attend.

Don't forget to bring school supplies with you to the game!  The Elves will have collection bins located by the entrances to the SAP Center. You can help us reach our goal of distributing 27,000 supply-filled backpacks for low income Bay Area students this year, and enjoy an action-packed arena football game at the same time! sabercats helmet

Silicon Valley Community Foundation's special donation drive will increase your impact!

Joshua, a nine year old boy from San Jose, wished for a camera last holiday season so he could "create memories with his family." Thanks to you, our generous donors, Joshua received his wish. He enjoys capturing all those wonderful memories with his family and friends. In just a couple of weeks, you have an opportunity to help reduce the effects of poverty for more children like Joshua.

Mark your calendars to increase your impact this spring!

Silicon Valley Community Foundation is setting the stage for people across the valley to make a big impact through a 24-hour give-a-thon on Tuesday, May 6: SVGives. Your donation to Family Giving Tree will be matched 100% throughout the day. Every hour brings new matching prizes up for grabs to help deepen your impact.

On behalf of Joshua and all the children we bring joy to throughout the year, THANK YOU!

Back to School Drive registration is open!

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."

- William Butler Yeats

More than 100 groups have signed up to collect backpacks and school supplies for Bay Area children in need this summer!

A few groups new we're excited to welcome to the Back to School Drive are the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Workday, and Syserco, Inc. Thank you for joining the Family Giving Tree in providing 27,000 local students with tools essential for their school year!

We still need at least 350 more groups to sign up to collect backpacks in order to reach our goal. Register today to lead a drive with your social club, coworkers, or favorite local business.

If you have already registered, please share our Lead a Drive page with your friends, family and any contacts you think might be interested in helping our community. The sooner we start the more children we can help!

Every donation is an investment in the future generation and these students are sincerely grateful to you for supporting their education!
