Mid January Update from Cape Cod Beer
Happy New Year!  Looks like we've made it into 2013 A-Ok!

Even though it is January, things here around at the brewery have been anything but quiet!  We've got new people:  Welcome to Lead Brewer Jeff Rowe, and to our two new Sales people: Alan O'Campbell (whom you might know from Grain & Vine) and Ryan Potter ( whom you might know from the BBC Falmouth)  If that's not enough we have also been working on two different construction projects. The first, most simple one is converting retail to allow people to purchase and consume beer by the glass.  The second is the movement of all post-brewing activity to the second building we have now begun to occupy on the property.  So things are a bit messy - but we're moving full steam ahead.. for details see below.

We have a couple great events coming up in the next few weeks.. please check them out.

Bière de Mars - Release Event
Save the Date!  We are collaborating with local artist Joey Mars to bring you Bière de Mars!  It's a french farmhouse style ale - also know as a Bière de Garde  learn more about the style here.  This will be our Valentine's Day beer, as we've decided to do something different instead of the Cheery Porter.

We'll be bottling it in 750 ml bottles with a special label designed by Joey Mars - and you will be able to find it on tap at select locations.   There is also talk of a limited run of Biere de Mars T shirts..so stay tuned!  To celebrate this cool new beer and our new license, we're also throwing a release party here at the brewery on 2/11.  Details to follow - but SAVE THE DATE!  To check out joey's work go to JoeyMars.com
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

On the left we have a photo of Peter Kelly working on a "leaning bar" (we are very limited on seating - so leaning will have to suffice for now) and on the bottom left we have the view into what will soon be the new homebrew shop - located in what was once the stockroom. Things are moving along quickly and once we paint the floors this weekend, we hope to be pouring pints by next week!  We'll let you know when its ready!  By spring the window you see to Peter's left will be a slider out to the "Beer Garden" out in front of the building..which we will work on once it warms up a bit!

Above is the empty 4,000 sq feet we are building out to the right of Sears.  This space will house Fermentation, Filtering, Packaging and Cold Storage of finished goods.  It will also be where kegs are washed and filled.
This space will not have public access - it will be strictly manufacturing.
We have 8 tanks on order to help fill this space, along with some tanks being moved from our current space to here.  We hope to be settled into this space by April.

In the meantime we'd like to encourage you all to DRINK LOTS OF CAPE COD BEER...as we need to pay for all this..and hire some more people!
