Medill Justice Project receives national investigative journalism award

In June 2014, The Medill Justice Project received a national award from Investigative Reporters & Editors for our investigative journalism. We were honored for our in-depth investigative articles, national database and documentary on shaken-baby syndrome. The IRE Awards are given to the most outstanding watchdog journalism of the year. This year's winners were selected from among more than 500 entries. The Medill Justice Project also participated in a panel session at the Investigative Reporters & Editors conference in San Francisco about our spotlight on shaken-baby syndrome.
