THE ISP PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR HELP!
International Student Program Host Families Needed

We have students arriving on 7/25 - we need homes to house them. Would you prayerfully consider opening your home to 1-4 of these students? This is a fantastic opportunity to share the love of Jesus! And, for housing a student, you are paid a stipend to cover your expenses. This takes the burden off so you can just enjoy this unique experience!

  • July 25th-30th - We have students from the Nanhai Experimental School coming from China for our summer stay visit again this year. Please mark your calendar's and let us know if you would like to host 1-4 students or if your middle school students would like to be a delegate for the program.  We don't have the total of number of students coming yet but we will know soon. We are anticipating at least 20 students this year!
  • September 30th-October 3rd - CCA will be hosting 42 high school girls for a short three day stay.   These young ladies will be performing for CCA students and will stay through the weekend.  We are asking that host families would house two girls at each home.  There will be a small stipend provided for each host family.
Please contact Rondy Thurlow for a Host Family application today!

"So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Philippians 2:10-11

CCA is looking for prayer warriors to pray and fast the 2nd Friday of each summer month. Would you like to join us? We are asking the Lord for direction with the next steps for CCA (see flyer) as we believe that prayer is the most important factor in seeking God's will for our future! Please contact Tracy Stevens for more information.
1 Million Book Campaign

2% of Kenyan primary schools have a library but the students are having a challenging time learning to read due to a lack of books. That's where we come in! From June 1st-14th CCA will be having a book drive.  Take a look at the video to the left and the flyer for more information. You can bring books to either school office or directly to Mrs. Mumley's classroom.  What a great opportunity to share the love of Christ!

Update... Mrs. Ho's class is up to 208 books! Way to go kids...that's amazing!

Please remember to add $1 inside each book to cover the shipping costs. Thank you!

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEEDS A VACUUM!

HELP! Our vacuum cleaner has gone on strike!! Do you have an extra one that needs a home? We'd love to take it off of your hands! It would be such a blessing for our cleaning crew - their broom is just not cutting it any longer!  Contact Mrs. Thurlow or Mrs. Pesacreta if you are able to help. Thank you so much!
A Word of Thanks from the PTF!

Well, the Lionpalooza picnic was a big success.  Teachers, recess monitors, and even Mrs. Harrison had the opportunity to stay cool and the sno-cone and bouncy house lines never ended.  And, to complete the event, photos were taken in the nice cool gym.  What an evening!  I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped before, after, and especially during the event. These events cannot happen without all of us pulling together to make special memories for the kids that we all love.  Thank you and see you next year!

Box Tops & Campbells Labels

Did you know that CCA earns money for each and every Box Top & Campbells label you turn in? This money has been used for much needed items from PE Equipment to Art Supplies. As an added incentive, we have quarterly contests to see which class can bring in the most! If you have any questions, please contact the PTF.
Effortless Fundraising

CCA has partnered with Fred Meyer and AmazonSmile in an opportunity to raise money. For Fred Meyer customers, it is as easy as linking your rewards card. For Amazon.com shoppers, all of the same products, prices, and service you are accustomed to are accessible through AmazonSmile, which donates 0.5% of each purchase to CCA. By taking a few simple steps you may aide in the raising of funds. For more information about the necessary steps, see our flyer.
