1 Million Book Campaign
2% of Kenyan primary schools have a library but the students are having a challenging time learning to read due to a lack of books. That's where we come in! From June 1st-14th CCA will be having a book drive. Take a look at the video to the left and the flyer for more information. You can bring books to either school office or directly to Mrs. Mumley's classroom. What a great opportunity to share the love of Christ!
Update... Mrs. Ho's class collected137 books the first day! Yes,137! Way to go kids...that's amazing! How many will your class collect?
Middle School End of Year Activities
7th GRADE PARENTS - It has been tradition here at CCA, that the 7th grade parents be in charge of the serving and clean-up during the 8th Grade Graduation ceremony. MIDDLE SCHOOL PICNIC - Our annual MS Picnic at Lewisville Park is June 9th! All the students (and the staff for that matter) look forward to this event each and every year. Food, organized games and lots of fun are on order - we'd love for you to join us! We have put all the information into this letter - please take a look, as families have been assigned items to bring. We also need 2-3 BBQ's so that we can get everything cooked...can you help us? LAPTOP CHECK-IN - All Middle School Students will turn in their laptops, chargers, and bags next week. The 6th/7th graders will have a preliminary check on Tuesday 6/7 and officially turn them in on Thursday 6/9 before the picnic. The 8th graders will have their check and turn-in on Wednesday 6/8. Please read this important notice from our Technology Department for more information and what your student should expect in this process.

International Student Program Host Family Opportunities
July 25th-30th - We have students from the Nanhai Experimental School coming from China for our summer stay visit again this year. Please mark your calendar's and let us know if you would like to host 1-4 students or if your middle school students would like to be a delegate for the program. We don't have the total of number of students coming yet but we will know soon. We are anticipating at least 50 students this year!
September 30th-October 3rd - CCA will be hosting 42 high school girls for a short three day stay. These young ladies will be performing for CCA students and will stay through the weekend. We are asking that host families would house two girls at each home. There will be a small stipend provided for each host family.
Being a host is a great way to share Jesus! Check out this video to see what others say about their experience.
