REMINDER RETURNING FAMILIES -
In order for us to keep the RenWeb system completely up to date, if you have moved over the past year, please email Mrs. Thulin your new address. She can then go in and make the change to ensure no communication is lost along the way. Thank you!

BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED...
The Spring Book Fair is coming up next week This is a cherished event here at CCA each and every year. The kids LOVE the selection and we LOVE to encourage reading! Our Book Fair coordinator will need help making this important event a success.  There are many ways to help; from set-up, to sales (1-2 hour shifts), to clean-up. Please contact Mrs. Thulin for more details and times available. Thank you!
LIONPALOOZA - IT'S ALMOST HERE!

Calling all families! Lionpalooza is just 3 three weeks away and we need your help. There are many volunteer spots available. Each time slot is only for 1 hour (5:30-6:30pm or 6:30-7:30pm) except set-up and take-down which will be whatever you can contribute from 1p-5p and/or 7:30pm until done. To entice you... if you sign up, we will cover your 3rd Trimester Service Hours! Done!

We need the following help:

1 person as dunk tank ticket collector (stays dry!)
4 people to help in the kitchen
4 people to serve food
Many people for take-down and set-up.

We need someone to either shop for, donate, or let us borrow the following items:

Middle School End of Year Activities

8th GRADE GRADUATION POSTERS - The 8th graders have picked up their supplies for the posters. Please be working on those... they are due back to the office by Friday 5/27!

7th GRADE PARENTS It has been tradition here at CCA, that the 7th grade parents be in charge of the serving and clean-up during the 8th Grade Graduation ceremony. This gives the 8th grade parents a chance to just enjoy the evening. Would you please consider helping the team this year?  Please contact Mrs. Pesacreta or Mrs. Thurlow to sign-up.  Thank you!

MIDDLE SCHOOL PICNIC - Our annual MS Picnic at Lewisville Park is June 9th! All the students (and the staff for that matter) look forward to this event each and every year.  Food, organized games and lots of fun are on order - we'd love for you to join us! More info will follow soon.
International Student Program Host Family Opportunities
  • July 22nd-27th - We have students from the Nanhai Experimental School coming from China for our summer stay visit again this year. Please mark your calendar's and let us know if you would like to host 1-4 students or if your middle school students would like to be a delegate for the program.  We don't have the total of number of students coming yet but we will know soon. We are anticipating at least 50 students this year!
  • September 30th-October 3rd - CCA will be hosting 42 high school girls for a short three day stay.   These young ladies will be performing for CCA students and will stay through the weekend.  We are asking that host families would house two girls at each home.  There will be a small stipend provided for each host family.
Being a host is a great way to share Jesus!  Check out this video to see what others say about their experience.

Please contact Rondy Thurlow for a Host Family application today!

Parents - are you aware that we have an awesome resource for practice/game schedules and locations? Click on our Athletic Calendar for up-to-the-minute details. Box Tops & Campbells Labels

Did you know that CCA earns money for each and every Box Top & Campbells label you turn in? This money has been used for much needed items from PE Equipment to Art Supplies. As an added incentive, we have quarterly contests to see which class can bring in the most! If you have any questions, please contact the PTF.
Effortless Fundraising

CCA has partnered with Fred Meyer and AmazonSmile in an opportunity to raise money. For Fred Meyer customers, it is as easy as linking your rewards card. For Amazon.com shoppers, all of the same products, prices, and service you are accustomed to are accessible through AmazonSmile, which donates 0.5% of each purchase to CCA. By taking a few simple steps you may aide in the raising of funds. For more information about the necessary steps, see our flyer.
