A MESSAGE FROM MR. HOFF
As many of you have heard, last week one of our substitute teachers who subs for us on a regular basis fell on the steps at school, breaking both wrists and part of her jaw. Miss Redman had to undergo a couple surgeries, and is currently at home recovering. With injuries of this magnitude, she is unable to work while she is healing, and we would like to come alongside her at this time to help her out financially with some of her medical bills. If you feel led to contribute, please follow the link to the GoFundMe page that Mrs. Ho has created for her.
We have also set up a "Take Them a Meal" schedule, if you would like to help in that way. Just click the link and sign up for a date. Please note the special instructions that have been written.
Thank you so very much for any help you can give!

POETRY COFFEE HOUSE - TOMORROW - NEW TIME - 8AM! The Middle School students would like to invite you to their annual Poetry Coffee House tomorrow, beginning at 8:00 at the Middle School. Join us for some coffee, donuts, and some great poetry by the Middle School students! You won't want to miss this "far-out" beatnik morning!
REMINDER PARENTS AND STUDENTS - As the weather warms up, we want to remind you to be mindful of our school dress code. This dress code was created with the goal to honor the Lord, establish the best possible setting and atmosphere for a quality Christian education, and represent CCA favorably in our community as a witness for our Lord. The following are of special concern in this warm weather, as we have been experiencing issues on a daily basis:
1. Shorts, skirts & dresses no more than 3" above knee.
2. Shoulders & midriff must be covered at all times - No sleeveless, backless, low cut, or spaghetti strap
tops or dresses.
3. No flip-flops or slippers.
LIONPALOOZA - Our annual Year End Extravaganza is being planned now! We sure could use your help! There are many volunteer opportunities available... from ticket sales to food service to game supervision and everything in between. There is a spot for you! To entice you... if you sign on to help, we will cover your 3rd Trimester Service Hours! How about that? Just let Mr. Hoff know you are interested by email or by calling him at 256-9715.
CARPOOL HELP NEEDED - We have a middle school family who needs help with carpool on Wednesday afternoons. If you live in the Burton area and have room in your vehicle, would you be willing to help this family? Please contact Mrs. Pesacreta in the Middle School office for more information.
DRUM AND PIANO LESSONS! Mr. Wise has time slots open for Drum and Piano lessons, as well as private tutoring. Please email him for specifics or visit his website for more information!

International Student Program Host Family Opportunities
- July 22nd-27th - We have students from the Nanhai Experimental School coming from China for our summer stay visit again this year. Please mark your calendar's and let us know if you would like to host 1-4 students or if your middle school students would like to be a delegate for the program. We don't have the total of number of students coming yet but we will know soon. We are anticipating at least 50 students this year!
- September 30th-October 3rd - CCA will be hosting 42 high school girls for a short three day stay. These young ladies will be performing for CCA students and will stay through the weekend. We are asking that host families would house two girls at each home. There will be a small stipend provided for each host family.
Being a host is a great way to share Jesus! Check out this video to see what others say about their experience. Please contact Rondy Thurlow for a Host Family application today!

Box Tops & Campbells Labels
Did you know that CCA earns money for each and every Box Top & Campbells label you turn in? This money has been used for much needed items from PE Equipment to Art Supplies. As an added incentive, we have quarterly contests to see which class can bring in the most! If you have any questions, please contact the PTF.

Effortless Fundraising
CCA has partnered with Fred Meyer and AmazonSmile in an opportunity to raise money. For Fred Meyer customers, it is as easy as linking your rewards card. For Amazon.com shoppers, all of the same products, prices, and service you are accustomed to are accessible through AmazonSmile, which donates 0.5% of each purchase to CCA. By taking a few simple steps you may aide in the raising of funds. For more information about the necessary steps, see our flyer.
