PTF NEEDS HELP WITH "MERRY MONDAYS" -  The PTF needs volunteers to provide "Merry Mondays" treats at the Elementary School campus on Monday 12/14. This is a little blessing that is given to the teachers during the Mondays in December. They sure do enjoy receiving their treats...won't you help brighten their day? Contact Mrs. Thulin for more information.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT - DRESS REHEARSAL SCHEDULED - Middle School Band and Drum Jam parents, Mr. Wise is scheduling a dress rehearsal on Tuesday 12/15 during electives (2:17-3:10). They will be bussed over to the Elementary School, so will need to be picked up at that campus after school. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Pesacreta.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT HELP NEEDED - Our music director, Mr. Wise, has requested some help! The stage and band equipment needs to be torn down immediately following our Christmas Concert on 12/15. Extra hands would sure make it quick and painless! He is expecting it would take roughly 15-30 minutes following the final number of the concert. We will even throw in 2 service hours as a way of saying thank you! If you would like to help, please contact Mrs. Rose in the Elementary Office.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY! - Friday, December 18th from 6:30-9:00pm  is the Annual MS Christmas Party. Time to dress up and have some fun! Dessert, games, karaoke, video contest and a White Elephant gift exchange. Entry to the party is a donation to the Astoria Rescue Mission. The mission has recently acquired a house to provide temporary shelter for families in crisis. They need assistance gathering supplies to get it cleaned and also need some household supplies for the residents. You can look over the list of needs and wants here on the Christmas Party Service Project document. In addition to the Astoria Rescue Mission donation, students will need to bring a wrapped White Elephant gift to the party (no names included). The gift should not be expensive and cannot be dangerous or inappropriate in any way.

A reminder to parents and students: dress code rules do apply for the evening (watch those hemlines and heel heights).

MARK YOUR CALENDAR - VARIETY SHOW 2/26 - CCA's annual Variety Show and Dessert Raffle will be Friday, February 26th. Try-outs are scheduled for 1/26 and 1/28, so if you want to be a part of the show, start working on your act over Christmas Break! Can't wait to see what our Lions come up with this year!

STAFF "ALL ABOUT ME" FORMSSeveral parents have asked the office for access to the "All About Me" information pages that our staff fills out each year.  Many parents like to refer to it around the Holidays and Teacher Appreciation Week, to learn more about the likes and dislikes of their child's teacher.  For your convenience, here is the link to the All About Me forms!  All staff are listed in alphabetical order, by last name.

DOES YOUR STUDENT NEED HELP WITH MATH? We've got a solution for you! Mr. Smith, our Middle School math teacher is offering after school tutoring. Please contact him for available dates/times.
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."    John 1:14

Box Tops & Campbells Labels

Did you know that CCA earns money for each and every Box Top & Campbells label you turn in? This money has been used for much needed items from PE Equipment to Art Supplies. As an added incentive, we have quarterly contests to see which class can bring in the most! If you have any questions, please contact the PTF.
Effortless Fundraising

CCA has partnered with Fred Meyer and AmazonSmile in an opportunity to raise money. For Fred Meyer customers, it is as easy as linking your rewards card. For Amazon.com shoppers, all of the same products, prices, and service you are accustomed to are accessible through AmazonSmile, which donates 0.5% of each purchase to CCA. By taking a few simple steps you may aide in the raising of funds. For more information about the necessary steps, see our flyer.
