Fleming Island Results The Weather Was Great, and The Course Played Long I would like to thank everyone that came out Saturday to compete in our second event of the season at Fleming Island Golf & CC. Because of the Junior Tour event our starting time was pushed back a few minutes, and I thank everyone for their patience. We had 43 players, and our next event is at South Hampton Golf & CC.  Daniel Fonseca Wins Champ Flight - Shoots 80 Daniel Fonseca is no stranger to The Winner's Circle. He was on the winning team at our preseason two man best ball at Orange Park. Fonseca and Craig Tomlinson both shot 80 and normally would do an on course playoff to break a first place tie, but due to darkness the tie was settled on a scorecard playoff. Jason Herndon shot 83 and finished third.

 Cory DePratter This Was His First Event of 2014 - Shot 78 Cory DePratter is one of our newest members, and he won his first time out in 2014 by shooting a nice round of 78. Darren Rawlinson had birdies on #8 and #14 to shoot 79 and finish 2nd. Lloyd Winthein birdied #15 and shot 83 to finish 3rd. Three of the seven Giant Skins came out of the A Flight . Bill Rhiley also shot 83 but was edged out by Winthein on a scorecard playoff.

 Jim Flowers Shoots 79 To Win For First Time On Tour Jim Flowers birdied #5 and #12 on his way to shooting a 79 to take home the trophy in B Flight. Matt Nolan birdied #5 and #14 and shot 83 to finish 2nd. Bobby Jonson shot 86 and has finished in the top three in the first two events of 2014. Arnold Padgett eagled #12 and finished 4th with a round of 88. There were seven total birdies in the B Flight hosting 12 players, and 3 out of 7 of those birdies held up for a Giant Skin.

 Rob Smothers Shoots 86 To Win C Flight Rob Smothers birdied #2 and #14 to shot 86 and win C Flight. Smothers also won a Giant Skin. Tour newcomer John Gay played well shooting 95 to finish 2nd. Mike Hunter has played the tour for several years. His 97 was good enough to finish 3rd. Rob Barnett was playing as a guest of Bear Roberts and shot 97 to finish 4th. He was edged out by Hunter in a scorecard playoff.

 Nathan Spaulding Plays Great! Shoot 82 in D Flight
Nathan Spaulding really bounced back from his first tournament at Eagle Landing two weeks ago. He shot 99 at Eagle Landing, but put together a great round at Fleming Island. Spaulding shot 82 to win D Flight. Chelsea Amos shot 96. Danny Kidd Shot 102. Enrique Martinez shot 108, and Chad Friedmann shot 110.
