Corrections Research Takes National Stage
 

Correctional officers are at high risk for suicide, depression, obesity, hypertension, and early death due to chronic disease. According to Dr. Martin Cherniack, CPH-NEW co-director, serious health issues develop soon after being hired. CPH-NEW and the Oregon Healthy Workforce Center convened a National Symposium for Corrections Worker Health in July 2014 to focus the national research spotlight on the needs of this high risk workforce. Read more.

Pilot Grants Available for 2015 

 

CPH-NEW will award up to three pilot grants of $11,000 each to conduct projects related to the Total Worker Health mission.
