November Newsletter
 Greetings!

As Christmas approaches your committee's thoughts have turned to our annual Christmas party. As the Weir looked after us very well last year, we will be returning again this year. Do come and join us - everybody is welcome - including non-members. Please try and send me your menu options (please see details below) promptly so that we can pass our details to The Weir in good time.
We had planned to hold our AGM on 3rd December however as the Christmas party will now be on Friday 11th December and the two dates are so close, we have decided to combine the two events. As such we will kick off with a short AGM at 6.30pm, followed by drinks in the snug, before heading to the Weir for a festive supper at around 8pm. Please come along to the AGM and help us plan the way forward for next year.

At the start of the year I suggested that we revive the traditional Christmas photo competition and I know that some of you have been snapping away ever since. Our pre-dinner drinks in the snug will provide a great opportunity to display your photo's and choose a winner, so please see below for details of how to enter.  We need a few entries to make a competition, so please do try and send in some photos, regardless of whether or not you are able to come on 11th December.

Best wishes

Just Been!
Cruise to the Barmy Arms then fish and chips in the snug
Hebe III, Club Claret and Flying Squid headed upriver on 17th October, conveniently reaching the Barmy Arms after the rugby crowd had left for Twickenham Stadium. There was just time for a quick pint before heading back to Brentford for fish and chips in the snug. Clive was pleased to welcome Dilys aboard Club Claret for her first cruise for a few years and I was pleased to welcome  Wanda, Liz and Assumpta on board Hebe III their first cruise with BCC.
