Greetings!
The red boards are finally starting to be replaced with yellow boards or none at all, so it looks like the river is starting to return to business as usual. We have been invited to a pre-season briefing by the PLA aboard MV Salient moored alongside Tower Pier. Clive Evans and John Scott are going to go along to hear what they have to say.
Meanwhile at Twickenham Yacht Club, Nichole Wehden has taken over from Tom Drake as Cruiser Captain. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm BCC welcome to Nichole and thank Tom for his great efforts to bring our two clubs together.

BCC Launch Party
 Thanks to those members and berth holders who attended our recent launch party. The evening started with drinks at the snug which was well and truly christened.
We then set off to sample the delights of the newly opened Thames restaurant. The simple buffet style 'all you can eat' menu worked well for a group of 18, avoiding the confusion and delay that is often the case with such a large group. The variety of food on offer meant that there was something for everybody.

April 201413th - Sunday - Lunchtime cruise to the Anglers or the Barmy Arms. All members and berthholders invited. High water Brentford is at 14.45 so we will plan to leave the marina at around 12.15 which should get us to the pub for around 13.15, leaving us time for a couple of beers and some lunch, before returning to the marina. I will be taking Hebe III and Clive will be taking Club Claret. 18th April Twickenham Yacht Club come to Brentford Members of Twickenham yacht club will be visiting Brentford by way of a shakedown trip to prepare for their cruise to Greenwich the following weekend. BCC members are invited to join them at Poppadums.
