Today, WikiLeaks source Bradley Manning faces over 20 charges including violating the Espionage Act, which will lead him to a potential maximum sentence of 136 years in Jail. The good news is that the verdict is acquitted of aiding the enemy, which is treason. Nevertheless the punishment over what he has revealed cannot be compared to any precedent sentences received by other soldiers. In other words, there must be a serious intention for the U.S. government to warn any future whistle-blowers. The Manning's case was critical to Snowden's father Lonnie, since NSA leaker Snowden would be treated as a whistle-blower even if not a spy when he comes back. After the Manning's verdict, it is said that Lonnie Snowden, who had called for his son to come back to the U.S. and face justice, had a different message for his son: Stay safe, in Russia, he told him on CNN. He added: "I have absolutely no faith in the attorney general of the United States."
