Cyber-Seniors Presentation at Ithaca College Ed Tech Day
Tuesday, March 24
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Room Location:TBA Philips Hall, Ithaca College
Want to learn how to use cellphones, computers and tablets to stay in touch with family and friends? Play games? Get health information and more? Technology has certainly changed the way we do things but it's never too late to learn how to be a "Cyber-Senior." In this session, participants will see parts of a video "Cyber-Seniors" which describes how elders in a special training program learned how to use technologies such as FaceBook, YouTube and other applications. The audience will be engaged in a discussion of what they want to learn about technology, how to best obtain this information and things to think about when looking to buy new technology. Finally participants will receive handouts with resources that they can use to learn about technology. After the session, participants will be encouraged to visit the exhibit hall to ask questions about technology options.
