Christopher Carter Golf Tournament

On Friday, October 4, the 4th Annual Christopher Carter Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Bull Run Country Club. It was a beautiful day for golf and a good cause. Friends and supporters joined together to support Virginia Hospital Center's Diabetes program. 

Over 100 golfers participated in the event, and over $35,000 dollars was raised in support of the Hospital. Thank you to all who participated.

Readers of the Washington Business Journal have included Virginia Hospital Center President and Chief Executive Officer James Cole as one of their nominees for Most Admired CEO 2013 (Health Care). Becker's Hospital Review has named Virginia Hospital Center Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Robin Norman as one of their "130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know." The 130 women selected, demonstrated outstanding leadership within the hospital and healthcare industry. They were chosen based on a wide range of management and leadership skills, including oversight of hospital or health system operations, financial turnarounds and quality improvement initiatives. Congratulations Robin!

Community Partners

The Vicky Collins Foundation will be honored as the 2013 Outstanding Foundation Partner at the 12th Annual National Capital Philanthropy Day on November 12, 2013. This nomination is for Vicky Collins Foundation's ongoing work on behalf of Virginia Hospital Center's Arlington Pediatric Center (APC). The Vicky Collins Foundation's support of Arlington Pediatric Center helps provide access to specialized care and treatment for low-income and uninsured children living in Arlington. Vicky Collins Foundation funds care coordination services for children with a wide range of medical conditions ranging from developmental delays to severe asthma, and their support has also provided access to medications and transportation services for children needing to travel to medical appointments.

An Evening of Remembrance for those that have lost a loved one

Virginia Hospital Center's Palliative Care Department is dedicated to relieving suffering and improving quality of life for patients with severe illnesses. The Palliative Care Department will host its annual memorial event to remember loved ones that have passed.
