Saint Xavier Save the School Fundraiser

 

Saint Xavier School is sponsoring a Casino Trip, Sunday March 22, 2015. Participants will depart at 7:30 a.m. from the Walmart Parking lot across from Taco Bell and will return about 5:00 p.m. Six hours of gaming, fun, and good food! The ticket cost is $15.00 and each traveler helps raise $15.00 to support our big project "Save Saint Xavier School" (donations are welcome). 

Bring a current photo I.D. card and your Prairie Band Casino card (if you have one) and the Casino will give you $10.00 in casino play money and one buffet ticket (valued at $15.00 - $18.00). You could be a big winner!

MAC Breakfast

 

On Thursday, March 26 the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Department of Military Affairs will be hosting this months Military Affairs Breakfast. The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Geary County Convention Center located at 310 Hammons Drive, Junction City. 

 

The cost of the breakfast is $12 per person made payable in check or cash at the door or prior to the event at the Chamber Office.

Marketing for Success: Developing effective marketing efforts to grow your business

 

On Tuesday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Commission is hosting a Marketing for Success Seminar presented by the Washburn Kansas Small Business Development Center at Dorothy Bramlage Library

Whether you're a start-up or an established business, marketing is key to your future growth and success. This seminar will help you develop a marketing plan, build your brand, and use your time and money effectively. Special attention will be given to creating and measuring online and social media marketing efforts. Seminar participants will receive resource guides and worksheets to help them in creating a comprehensive marketing plan.

Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce's "Junction City First" 

is an aggressive, economic development business expansion and attraction plan. Junction City First has input and support from the private and public sectors within the City of Junction City and Geary County. The initiativeis raising funds to develop and implement increased economic development initiatives over the next five years.

 

In partnership with local governments, community organizations and businesses, the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce is building a cooperative vision for achieving measurable goals related to specific economic development initiatives: business recruitment and marketing, business retention and expansion, workforce development, enhancing economic development capacity and entrepreneurship.

 

Junction City First is proving to be a successful capital campaign. The efforts to date have raised over $980,000 toward the $1.2 million goal. As an additional source of funding Junction City First will have a tremendous impact on economic development in the area.  Investors will have the opportunity help guide the direction of future development to grow and sustain the community.
