Fort Riley Community Listening Session
|

A Community Listening Session and Fort Riley Appreciation event was held on February 9 at the Geary Convention Center. The official attendance was 4,203 on site with another 3,000 plus online viewers. A small sampling of license plates included cars from 16 different Kansas counties. Many organizations and individuals from Geary County and surrounding communities offered their support and time to the success of the event. Businesses closed their doors or gave employees time off to attend the session. Thank you to everyone who participated. The consensus is it was a great event and as a whole and everything possible was done to express to the visiting team the importance of the partnership the community has with one of the nation's premier Army installations.
