Junction City First Campaign
|
 Junction City First Economic Development Campaign is off and running. The Junction City First Kick Off event, held January 13th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. announced the progress and goals of the economic development campaign. The campaign has raised $859,000 to date, and about 60 people were in attendance to witness the reveal. The Junction City First Campaign is a public/private partnership effort to raise funds to increase economic development initiatives over the next five years. Our guest speaker is Col. Risa Ware, Commander of the Irwin Army Community Hospital.
The breakfast begins at 7:30am. The Deadline to register for the Breakfast will be Tuesday January 20th. The cost for the breakfast is $12 per person.

Fort Riley Community Listening Session
|
The next phase of the Army Force Structure and Stationing Decision process will be discussed at the Fort Riley Community Listening Session on Monday February 9th, 3:30-5:30 p.m.. The listening session is an important opportunity for the community to provide input to Army leaders on the Army's decision process of reducing the Active Army Component end strength. All community citizens are encouraged to attend. Dress code is duty uniform for military and casual for civilians. For more information please contact John Seitz at 785-762-2632.

Save the date for the Annual Dinner! Also, don't forget to send in your Annual Dinner Award nominations to the Chamber for Business/Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Tourism Advocate of the Year. Each nomination should include: Your name, the name of the company/person being nominated, which award they are being nominated for, a description of why, and how they fit the award. Please submit your nominations no later than 5 p.m. Monday, February 2nd.
