Christina Color Dash is a Colorful Celebration of School Spirit!
McVey Elementary School sponsored the Christina Color Dash 5K on April 16, a fun run open to all members of the Christina community. More than 360 students, parents, and community members participated in the event, which helped raise funds for the B+ Foundation for children's cancer research. The name "color dash" refers to the colored powders that are thrown at the participants as they run by, so that by the end of the race they are covered in multiple (washable) colors! Runners were motivated by a DJ, the Christiana High School Steel Drum Band, food trucks, and many supportive volunteers. Christina middle school students volunteered at the color stations along the way and assisted with other tasks. McVey Elementary hopes to make the Color Dash an annual event in Christina. Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants in this fun event. [Photo Album]
