Greetings!
Well my "dumb things I have done to the RV" track record is still in tact. It seems that for some reason at some critical point I begin to daydream when I should be paying attention and I end up do some sort of major damage to each one of the RV's we have owned. There was the time we decided to take the motorhome out camping the day before we were to trade it in. Not a smart thing in itself, but then I proceeded to rip the rear cap off the RV when I failed to hear, well I heard her I just didn't listen to Michelle yelling to stop. Then I pulled forward catching the bottom of cap on the boat trailer parked behind us. Not good. Then there was the time I cut the corner to sharp in our brand new motorhome running a traffic sign all the way down the side leaving nice yellow scratches. Or the time I was rushing to put the RV into the barn before company was to arrive and forgot to put the awing in. Tore the back awing arm clean off and required a whole new awning. Or this doosie, I had washed the RV just before a prospective buyer was to arrive and had the awning out and lowered to drain off the water. Then proceeded to open the square sharp cornered entry door tearing a long slice in the awning fabric. I wanted to cry on that one. Which leads me to the most recent incident. I decided to stop and fuel up the RV and to exit the pumps which are very narrow I needed to move over to make a tight corner. I had ask Michelle to check to see if it was clear to go and as she leaned forward I could not see the mirror and insure I was clear of all obstacles. Well you guessed it I wasn't and I crunched the storage door, the entry door and some lower trim against the steel pillar that protects the pumps from getting run over by knuckle heads like me. The good news it can all be fixed, but if I would just slow down, stay present and pay attention RV'ing could be a whole lot cheaper.
